These might be my most favorite vessels for chiles, soups, or poke bowl recipes. Hand built from stoneware, they are etched on the outside and then rubbed with red oxide that catches the indentations and burns away in the second firing. The interior of bowls are painted with a matte black and edged in a bright red. They are food-safe and stand up well in the microwave.
