This simple earthenware platter can hold almost anything: pasta, fruit, an appetizer spread. It’s a drop-platter that, as the name suggests, is made by laying slabbed clay into a wooden form and then dropping it to the ground. I then built up the sides which were already partially formed and finished the piece with three coats of a black food-safe glaze. It measures 14″ square.
