This 6″ high wheel thrown stoneware pot with an open top was first terra-sigged and then prepared for the Saggar fire by coating it with two of applications of ferric chloride, rolling it in salt and sawdust, and finally trapping on bits of bronze steel wool. After cleaning, it was buffed to a soft shine. It’s a lovely piece for flowers and decorative display. Not food safe.
