This variegated stoneware pot with a lip was thrown on the wheel and then terra-sigged. After the first firing, I painted the piece with 2 coats of ferric chloride inside and out and then applied seaweed, salt and sawdust, finally stretching pieces of bronze wool over all. After the Saggar, I buffed the pot to a low shine. The piece measures 5″ high and is suitable for flowers or decorative uses only.
